Not every forgery is a signature. Figures get changed, a line gets added after signing, a page is swapped inside a stapled agreement. Questioned document examination looks at the whole document to establish whether it is what it claims to be.
What we do
- Detection of overwriting, additions, erasures and chemical alteration
- Comparison of inks and writing instruments under different light sources
- Page substitution and sequence-of-strokes examination
- Examination of stamps, seals and printed matter for authenticity
- Verification of educational certificates, ID documents and stamp papers
- Typed and printed document comparison
When clients come to us
- An amount or date on an agreement or receipt looks altered
- Someone produces a document you believe was created later
- A rent deed, partnership deed or MoU has a page you never agreed to
- A certificate submitted to your organisation needs verification
How it works
What you receive
A detailed examination report describing each finding, supported by enlarged photographs, suitable for filing with a court or submitting to an authority.
Questions about questioned document examination
Can you tell how old the ink is?
Absolute dating of ink is rarely reliable. What can often be shown is that two entries were made with different inks or at different sittings, which is usually what a case needs.
Will the document be damaged during examination?
Our examinations are non-destructive. The document is handled carefully and returned in the same condition.
Is my case kept confidential?
Yes. Your identity, the details you share and our findings are kept private and are released only to you or to whomever you direct in writing.
